Shah Alam, 20 DECEMBER 2018 – TIME dotCom (“TIME”) recently launched TIME Cloud Interconnect Direct (TCID), one of the first providers to offer private connections to Azure services through the new Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute site in Malaysia.
Most cloud access is provided through the public Internet on a best-effort basis, which leaves the connection vulnerable to latency issues. TCID bypasses the public Internet to link directly via Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute. Through this, a private connection to Microsoft cloud services is established.
“Security and ease of data access are critical factors for businesses adopting cloud technology, especially with Budget 2019’s push for the expansion of the digital economy in Malaysia,” said WF Lee, Chief Enterprise Officer in TIME dotCom.
“As one of Microsoft’s first Malaysian telco partners, we’re proud to support the growing digitalisation of businesses in the country by providing a secure, direct connection to Microsoft Azure for those on or looking to get on the cloud,” WF said.
Network deployment can be accomplished in a matter of days owing to the existing infrastructure. TIME has a Service Level Agreement of up to 99.9% and a 24 x 7 support centre keeps service availability high, while up to 10Gbps of bandwidth ensures minimal latency.
“Our collaboration with TIME allows us to provide customers with the high-level interconnection and predictable global access they need to architect and deploy their hybrid clouds with a globally consistent experience,” said Ross Ortega, Partner PM Manager, Microsoft Azure Networking at Microsoft Corp. “We are pleased to expand Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute connections in Malaysia, allowing more businesses in this growing market to access these services through TIME.”
